We all hail from Nordic, Celtic, Irish and Scottish roots and are based in the UK, we sell our products throughout the world. We are all keen travellers and have travelled the world, always with a keen eye on all things wooden. 

With backgrounds in carpentry, woodwork, forestry, farm and range work our team have a joint ambition for creating and  providing luxury wood solutions and a honest passion for helping the earth we live in.

Providing the best quality woods for all purposes that are both safe, completely natural, unique and more importantly from sustainable sources everything we sell we replant. 

Our main mission is to eliminate plastics and use wood as an alternative giving back to the environment each step of the way.

1) Sustainable / renewable. You can grow another tree to replenish the wood you use; and when the furniture is ‘used up’ and ready for discard, it rots and turns back into tree fertilizer.

2) Wood ‘breathes’. The wood fibers will absorb some amounts of moisture. Sit on a piece of plastic with bare legs in the hot summer, and then sit on a piece of smooth wood without a plastic finish. Nice!

3) Wood is usually more comfortable because it has some ‘give’ to it. Wood suspended floors vs. concrete floors are usually where this is most felt, but some feel it on wood vs. plastic furniture. Work with a plastic handled tool vs a wooden handled tool for a few hours and you’ll feel the difference.

4) Wood is prettier. There is a phenomenon called chatoyancy where the wood fibers catch the light just right. Wood is not opaque on the surface, but slightly transluscent. You can see a small ways inside the cells of the wood. This allows light to do funny, delicate things. Look at the surface of some cypress, or maple, or some oaks, or even pine - you’ll find as you move, what was ‘light’ is now dark, and what was dark is now light. It changes as you move, so is more animated - magic! Most if not all plastic is a solid surface that looks dead, flat and uninteresting, although they are getting better with the stuff. I’ve not seen chatoyancy though.

5) Wood can get better with age. The nicks and scratches it gets can add character to it. It can be refinished and these take on an extra depth that can be very attractive. Or it can be refinished to look almost ‘as good as new’. Plastic, once battered usually looks like old junk.

• Wood is a renewable resource. When it has served its purpose it is turned to ash either by burning or decomposition and is spread back on the soil.
• Wood is tougher. While any given static piece of plastic furniture may be strong enough to hold you up, over time it will crack and fail, every time.
• Wood is more comfortable. I do not understand why this is. I can sit in a wooden church pew listening to a pastor for hours without complaint while 10 minutes in a plastic lawn chair listening to funny family stories turns my butt numb. I seriously am puzzled by this.
• Wood is more fun to work with. Plastic you buy molded in a store like Walmart. Wood is formed with tools, both power and hand. I derive sincere pleasure from working with wood. I haven’t derived a single moment of pleasure buying plastic.

It's coming, promise! We ship orders on Mondays - Fridays, during office hours only and we don't operate on public holidays. We always aim to post your order as quickly as possible (usually within 7-14 days) but there might be some delays – especially after releases! Your patience is appreciated.

We use Royal Mail and your package should arrive in 5-8 business days once shipped. 

International: 
Standard International: 
This goes through standard shipping and has basic tracking. Your items should appear in about 1 to 4 weeks after we ship it, but can take up to 6 weeks or longer due to international delay. Once it arrives into your country, you’ll also be able to track your parcel through your local postal service.

Express Courier: Costs a bit more, it's UPS'd and fully trackable. Your stuff will arrive in about 2-5 working days once shipped. UPS usually deliver between the hours of 9am-5pm and will request a signature. If you aren't available when your parcel is delivered, the delivery driver will leave a card with instructions on how to pick up.

Duties/Customs fees: Some countries may charge import duties and taxes or other random fees. UPS may also charge handling fees for processing your parcel through customs. Sorry, we have no control over this and it's your responsibility to pay for any fees. We suggest you find out what fees are applicable in your country before you order. 

Will my order be tracked? 
Yes! No matter what shipping option you go for you will receive a tracking number in your shipping confirmation email so you can stalk your items all the way to your front door!

This website accepts Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, BITCOIN and KOTF (Kings of the Forest) Gift Vouchers. We also have Apple Pay and STRIPE! We can't accept any other forms of payment, sorry!

Customers who are signed in to their KOTF account have the ability to use previously saved credit card information for a faster checkout. This information is stored securely through trusted payment gateways (Online or PayPal).

To enable this feature, just make sure that you're logged into your account on our website - when you're ready to purchase your goodies, fill in your credit card details at checkout and select 'Save for later use'.

You can also remove any previously saved card details in the 'Stored payment methods' section in your KOTF account.

What is Afterpay?
Afterpay is a way to order your nylon goodies without needing to pay the whole amount upfront. We ship your order out as normal and you pay it off in fortnightly instalments over 6 or 8 weeks. BlackMilk Gift Vouchers are not able to be purchased using Afterpay. Please note: Afterpay is currently only available for Australian customers. READ THE FULL DETAILS!

Is it safe? 
Absolutely - nothing to be worried about! We have bunches of super encryption in place so that your payment is secure and your details remain 'secret squirrel'. For the techno geeks out there – we us the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 256-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Can I view the prices in my local currency?

We offer our customers the option to view prices in a variety of currencies when browsing and purchasing through our site. Selectable currencies include AUD, USD, GBP, CAD, EURO and NZD. When a currency is selected, the price is shown in the chosen currency according to the most recent exchange rate. Please note that the currency conversion shown is only a guide and the actual currency conversion that will be charged by your chosen payment method may vary.

Upon checkout, all products and shipping methods will be shown in the chosen currency and customers will also see the amount ultimately charged in GBP.

KOTF processes all orders in BRITISH POUND on our side but not to worry it is all automatic on our site so you have an automatic currency converter just for you with the latest exchange rate (updated every hour). If you want to know the exact amount you will be charged please check with your bank before making a purchase as currency conversion rates and fees vary.

How do I make an order? 
Just go to kingsoftheforest.com (hint: you’re already here) and click on a product you like. Then just follow the easy checkout process and soon you’ll own some KOTF products and further help tree planting (welcome to the family). 

I’m getting an error when I’m trying to place my order, help!? 

First and foremost... remember to breathe. Cos if you don't, you'll faint and then it'll take even longer to get your KOTF order, and that's no good. Secondly, check you've filled all the details out properly including your name, address and payment info. Still not working? It might be the computer system. Be patient and remember, computers are people too. Email us at family@kingsoftheforest.com (with screenshots if possible!) and we'll see if we can track down the problem. 

How do I make changes to my order? 
Ok so here’s the deal, you have one hour from when you purchased to quickly email family@kingsoftheforest.com with your order number and the changes you need to make. Unfortunately we can’t add products to your order, but we can change your delivery address or sizes during the 1 hour. What are you still doing here? Quick! Email us!

Can I split my current order so the items ship separately? Can I combine multiple orders? 
Unfortunately we can't split or combine orders for you as our system won't allow this. Our warehouse squirrels aim to ship your order/s asap!

How do I cancel an order? 
It’s the same deal as changing an order, you have one hour from when you made your order to email us at family@kingsoftheforest.com to let us know you have to cancel. Why only one hour? Because after that your order slip is printed down and sent to our creators in packing and these guys are lightning fast! This also means our tree planting partners go to plant another tree.

Where is my order? 
Hasn’t it turned up yet? If you haven’t received a shipping confirmation email from us yet then just drop an email to family@kingsoftheforest.com and we’ll investigate immediately. Please remember if we’ve just had a big release we might be a little slower at getting orders out OR even a disaster on creation floors. If you have received a shipping notification just consult your tracking number for the latest update on where your package of goods are.

Can I fast track my order?
Unfortunately we can't fast track an order for you as our Warehouse team endeavours to pick and pack orders in the most efficient and fair way possible i.e. chronologically. If you have a big event coming up, we definitely recommend ordering with plenty of time for processing and shipping!

What does Made To Order mean? 

Mostly all of our products are Made to Order (MTO). This means that you place your order and we go and make it. This process usually takes up to 10 business days and then we ship it out to you. 

It says ‘Sold out’ will you restock? 
You can pre-order the product as the preorder button will be available. Sometimes we like to make products limited so that the people that do get them get to feel really special. But if a product says “Out of Stock” then you can totally sign up for a restock notification and we’ll let you know when they’re back. 

Do you sell gift vouchers? 
Sure do! We have a loyalty program that enables you to build points for yourself, your friends and family. More importantly you are helping us grow awareness for further tree growth and been rewarded in the process.

Where are your products made? 
Our products are manufactured in Devon, United Kingdom. Why? Because that’s where we are and we really like to stay on top and in touch with the manufacturing process. But so we can extend our range to include new products that you, our customers, have told us you would love to see, we also work with a number of global partners who are technical experts. This means we can be sure that the products we are offering you, are high quality and made by specialists in that area.

Where are your woods from? 
We source our woods and materials throughout the globe as some woods are very specific, we source the woods from sustainable sources making sure whatever we take from Mother Nature we return to her.
